1. Services

Colab8 provides AI-powered trade compliance and logistics services through AskRosetta (classification API), Goldmex International (shipping platform), and Fabric8 (operations dashboard). By using any of these services, you agree to these terms.

2. AI-Generated Classifications

HTS classifications, duty calculations, and compliance assessments generated by our AI systems are advisory in nature and do not constitute legal or customs brokerage advice. Per CBP Ruling HQ H350722, AI-assisted classification is permitted but final filing responsibility rests with the Licensed Customs Broker or Importer of Record.

3. Acceptable Use

• Do not use the service to classify prohibited or sanctioned goods
• Do not submit false product descriptions to obtain lower duty rates
• Do not reverse-engineer the classification models or training data
• Do not exceed API rate limits or circumvent metering

4. Data Ownership

You retain ownership of all data you submit. We claim no rights to your product descriptions, trade data, or shipment information. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

5. Service Availability

We target 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance windows are announced via the dashboard. Our disaster recovery targets: RTO 2 hours, RPO 24 hours.

6. Limitation of Liability

Colab8 is not liable for customs penalties, duties, or losses arising from reliance on AI-generated classifications. All classifications should be reviewed by a qualified professional before filing with any customs authority.

7. Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. Upon termination, you may export your data per GDPR Article 20. We will delete your account data within 30 days of request, except where retention is required by law (e.g., 7-year CBP audit trail per 19 CFR 163).

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. For EU data subjects, GDPR applies in addition to these terms.
